Ulamog, one of the three Eldrazi titans introduced in the iconic Zendikar block, may be connected to the monster-infested plane of the brand new set, Ikoria, according to a fan theory shared by Redditor Jankjunction.
The theory points out the resemblance between Mike Lim's (Daarken) art for the new Ikoria: Lair of Behemoths card, "Void Beckoner".
"This thing has several of the trademarks of Ulamog's brood," the Redditor wrote. "It's got the bone faceplate we've all come to associate with the Ceaseless Hunger and it also displays mandibles and mouth tentacles just like big daddy Ula. Ulamog's eldrazi also have bifurcated arms, and this guy has already grown a spare. It's also ENORMOUS. Just look at it. I know, just looking like Ulamog isn't proof. So let's dig deeper."

The Redditor also pointed out how "Void Beckoner" and "Ulamog's Crusher" are similar: they're both 8-mana 8/8 creatures.
He went on to describe Void Beckoner's Eldrazi-like characteristics: "Void Beckoner has all the features of the Ulamog lineage. Bone visage. Check. Bifurcated arms. Check. Stony protrusions from the shoulders and back. Check. Tentacles (out of its mouth sure, but they're definitely there). Check. Creature Type. It's not typed as an Eldrazi, but it's a nightmare-horror mashup for Ugin's sake!" The Redditor reminds us that the word "void" is closely associated with many Eldrazi cards, so that could be a hint of Ikoria's connection to the Eldrazi.
The theory also points out how Ikoria also features creatures that are completely devoid (no pun intended) of colored mana despite the set's world being a "wedge-colored" set. With only less than half of the cards from the main Ikoria set offficially revealed, we already know two colorless creatures in Ikoria: "Mysterious Egg" and "Crystalline Giant". There's also "Cryptic Trilobite" from Commander 2020 (which has cards set in the plane of Ikoria).
"This particularly cryptic trilobyte, for some reason, produces Wastes mana in addition to being colorless instead of blue," the theory pointed out. "It's also sitting on top of ruins of some kind, potentially significant."
The theory points out the strange fact that Ikoria already has two colorless non-artifact creatures (possibly more when the whole set is revealed), and the Eldrazi are known to be non-artifact colorless creatures, so it's easy to see the connection.
The theory also brings up this quote from The Planeswalker Guide to Ikoria:
"It is said that some of Indatha's lowlands were formed by a long trail of enormous footprints, leading from the forests of Zagoth in the south to Indatha's northwestern coast. Rielle believes they were made by the largest monster that ever walked the plane, before it vanished into the sea long ago."
According to the theory, this may be a reference to Ulamog vanishing into the sea and planeswalking away.
