The Winner of Magic: The Gathering Grand Prix Chiba 2019 Will Receive A Year's Supply of Cup Noodles

MagicFest Chiba is happening in Japan this weekend, and if you're a Magic: The Gathering player who wants a year supply of Nissin Cup noodles, then you should be motivated the whole Grand Prix.

Big Magic, the Japanese company organizing this year's MagicFest Chiba, has announced on Twitter that Nissin Food Products Co., Ltd. is providing a year's supply of cup noodles (360 pieces) as a winning prize for Grand Prix Chiba. The format of the main event is Limited.

That's a weird grand prize for a huge Magic tournament but this isn't the first time Nissin's Cup Noodles did a cross-promotion in the gaming segment. When Final Fantasy XV was released in 2016, Nissin and Square Enix did a lot of cross-promotion for Cup Noodles, and they even included a short segment promoting Cup Noodle in the game.

Of course, a year's supply of Cup Noodles is not the only prize offered in Grand Prix Chiba. There's a $50,000 prize pool, and I'm sure players can buy more than a lifetime's worth of Cup Noodles with that amount.

MagicFest Chiba is happening on August 2-4 at Makuhari Messe in Chiba, Japan. You can check out Big Magic's website for more information.
