Star Wars: The Last Jedi Shows Off Luke Skywalker's Humor

With almost a week left until the release of Star Wars: The Last Jedi, Lucasfilm and Disney have released the 23rd TV spot for Rian Johnson's highly-anticipated sequel, and this one shows off Luke Skywalker's (Mark Hamill) humor when he tells R2-D2 to "Watch your language."

Back in May, writer/director Rian Johnson told Entertainment Weekly that the reunion between Luke and R2-D2 almost never happened because J.J. Abrams originally intended to have BB-8 accompany Rey to Ahch-To instead of Luke's old droid.

"Yes … The big [favor] was, I asked if R2 could come with Rey, and if BB-8 could stay behind with the Resistance," Johnson said. "Originally it was BB-8 who went with Rey, which makes sense for the story in a way. But I asked, 'Can you do me this solid and switch the droids?'"

Star Wars: The Last Jedi is set to release in theaters on December 15, 2017.
