Rogue One: A Star Wars Story Gets Exciting IMAX TV Spot and 2 New Clips

This weekend Disney and Lucasfilm held the big screen premiere of Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, and the film has been receiving stellar reviews, with many saying that it's the best Star Wars film since the Original Trilogy, and some are even saying that it's better than The Empire Strikes Back.

Over the weekend, the cast of Rogue One appeared at Jimmy Kimmel Live!, and Lucasfilm premiered a new IMAX TV spot and a couple of new clips from the film.

The IMAX TV spot features new footage, and a lot of them feature Orson Krennic (Ben Mendelsohn). Check it out:

The first clip features K-2SO (Alan Tudyk) piloting the ship with the Rogue One crew in dangerous terrain. The second clip at 3:17 mark shows the team of Rebels rescuing Jyn Erso (Felicity Jones) from the Empire. Check out the clips below:

From Lucasfilm comes the first of the Star Wars standalone films, "Rogue One: A Star Wars Story," an all-new epic adventure. In a time of conflict, a group of unlikely heroes band together on a mission to steal the plans to the Death Star, the Empire's ultimate weapon of destruction. This key event in the Star Wars timeline brings together ordinary people who choose to do extraordinary things, and in doing so, become part of something greater than themselves.

Rogue One: A Star Wars Story will hit theaters on December 16, 2016.
