Red Bull Magic: The Gathering Arena Untapped Tournament Returns This Year


Wizards of the Coast and Red Bull are partnering up once again for a second Magic: The Gathering Arena Untapped tournament, featuring 16 Magic Arena qualifiers and a $200,000 total prize pool.

The 16 MTG Arena qualifiers worldwide will give players a chance to compete for one of the 16 seats at the finals on Nov. 1, and you can check out the details of the first 6 qualifiers here, kicking it off with an international tournament mid-May.

Magic Pro League players, top MTG pros, and select content creators are invited to compete in this event, and there's no entry fee for anyone to join the Red Bull Untapped Arena qualifiers.

Each of the 16 Untapped qualifiers will run for two days, and the format is best-of-three Standard Swiss format. The winner of each Untapped qualifier earns a seat at the finals on Nov. 1. Those who make it in the top 4 will get their share of the $5,000 total prize pool, Magic Arena booster packs, and gems (in-game).

16 players will compete in the finals where the first-place winner will be get a seat at a 2021 major MTG tournament and a share of the $75,000 total prize pool.

For the safety of the Magic community due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Wizards and Red Bull are still working with local health and government officials to determine the best way to host the finals tournament this November.
