The Final Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker Trailer Releases And It's Epic!

The epic conclusion to the Skywalker Saga is coming this December, and tonight, Disney and Lucasfilm have released a new trailer for Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker.

"People keep telling me they know me. No one does," Rey said in the trailer, suggesting that Rise of tSkywalker will fully reveal her true identity.

We also hear Palpatine's voice saying, "Long have I waited" while a footage of a huge throne is shown.

There's also a cool shot of the Rey, Finn, Poe, and Chewbacca inside the Millennium Falcon together.

"Taking one last look, sir," C-3PO says with a pause,"At my friends."

We also get a look at the late Leia actress, Carrie Fisher, and more epic footages of Rey and Kylo Ren dueling. It also appears that that they amashed something with their lightsabers at the same time, but it's unclear what it is. Did they team up together?

It looks like the stormy dark planet will be a major setting in the film, but there are some brighter moments such as the shot with Lando Calrissian (played by Billy Dee Williams) and a look at Finn, Poe, and C-3PO in a sand planet (Is that Jakku, Tatooine, or another sand planet we've never seen before?).

Although Mark Hamill is expected to appear in the film as Luke Skywalker, the trailer doesn't show him.

Once again, we hear Palpatine's laugh just like in the previous teaser for the film, and we see hear a voice at the end saying, "The Force will be with you."

Based on the trailer, it looks like Rise of the Skywalker's story will focus a lot on Rey's destiny and how it could possibly connect with Emperor Palpatine.

Synopsis:

The surviving Resistance faces the First Order once more as Rey, Finn and Poe Dameron's journey continues. With the power and knowledge of generations behind them, the final battle commences.

Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker is set to release in theaters on December 20, 2019.
