Magic: The Gathering Arena players have recently reported performance issues on Wizards of the Coast's free-to-play digital card game, but the new game update promises to fix those issues. The game will be undergoing maintenance starting Thursday, July 9, at 9 AM PT (16:00 UTC) and is expected to last about one hour to deploy the 1.09.01 update.

Since the Core Set 2021 update last month, players have reported issues such as black screen and prolonged loading times that will hopefully be fixed in the upcoming patch.

We will be performing scheduled maintenance on July 09 at approximately 9 a.m. PT (16:00 UTC) to deploy the 1.09.01 game update. Maintenance is expected to last approximately one hour.
While no downtime is expected, this is a required update. Players who are logged in prior to the start of maintenance will be required to restart their client to download the patch.
Patch notes will be available once maintenance is complete.

Jumpstart is set to launch on Magic: The Gathering Arena on July 16, one day after the paper release of the product.
