New Magic: The Gathering Arena Japanese Ad Brings Back The Nostalgia

The Japanese Magic: The Gathering YouTube channel has released a new ad for Magic: The Gathering Arena and the video features a group of young kids enjoying the popular trading card game in the '90s, bringing back the nostalgia of the good old days when and social experience with friends that the game made possible back then. The new ad aims to recapture that experience with the new digital card game, MTG Arena: "Just like we did back then, let's play to our heart's content"

If you played Magic in the '90s, you can probably feel the nostalgia now. I remember playing Magic with my neighbors in the Philippines and going to card shops in malls to buy booster packs of Tempest and Urza's Saga. Although Magic Arena makes it easier for us to play with our friends from afar, it will never replace the childhood joy of playing with your friends after school or going to a card shop together to crack the latest booster pack.

Core Set 2020 is set to be released on July 12, 2019. Core Set 2020 is also coming to Magic Arenaon July 2, with the preorder bundle for the set available now. The Core Set 2020 bundle in Arena includes a mythic rare Planeswalker card for Chandra as a bonus. Pre-release events will be held from July 5 to July 7.
