MagicFest Las Vegas is going to be one of the biggest Magic: The Gathering events this year, and even though the formats for the Grand Prix main events are Modern and Limited, there will be a Commander celebration with special guests and players will be able to get a new "Sol Ring" promo card.
The news was announced during the official stream of MagicFest Dallas this weekend, as you can see below, the new "Sol Ring" promo card is illustrated by Mark Tedin and it will be available in foil and non-foil.
According to Wizards of the Coast's Senior Game Designer Gavin Verhey, MagicFest Las Vegas won't be the only place this promo will be available - just the first place. They will also be available in other Commander events at MagicFests in 2019, as well as some other places next year.
MagicFest Las Vegas 2019 will happen on August 22-25 at the Las Vegas Convention Center. The prize pool is $65,000, and the two main events are Modern and Limited (Modern Horizons).
