New Live-Action Bleach Trailer Reveals Urahara

Warner Bros. Japan

The live-action Bleach film will arrive in Japanese theaters next month, and now, Warner Bros. Japan has released a new trailer for it, and it includes tons of new footage including our first look at Keisuke Urahara.

As you can see in the trailer, the live-action version of Urahara looks like a straight adaptation from the anime, with his signature hat and cheerful face. The trailer also reveals Orihime (played by Erina Mano) and Chad (Tomo Koyonagi). Fans were worried that these characters won't show up in the film since the previous trailers and images didn't confirm their appearance but no it's good to know that these supporting characters will be in the film.

We also get more footage of Ichigo's battle against Hollows, Renji Abarai (played by Taichi Saotome), and Byakuya Kuchiki (Miyavi). Ichigo is played by Sota Fukushi; Rukia Kuchiki (Hana Sugisaki.

I'm not a huge fan of the Bleach series but so far, this looks like a solid adaptation of the manga and anime.

The first Bleach film is said to follow the Substitute Shinigami arc from Tite Kubo's manga and anime. It's set to release in Japanese theaters on July 20, 2018.
