New Days Gone Gameplay Footage Shows Brutal Zombie Action

During the PlayStation Live Event from E3 2018 in Los Angeles, Sony Interactive Entertainment Bend Studios showed off new gameplay footage for Days Gone, giving players a closer look at its post-apocalyptic Pacific Northwest setting. The staff from Bend Studios were there to answer some questions and talk about the gameplay footage. You can watch the video below:

Many fans are calling Days Gone a mix of The Last of Us and Sons of Anarchy, and it's easy to see why. The demo of the game featured a particular quest called "you got a death wish," which shows the protagonist Deacon St. John infiltrating a zombie-infested area so he can get an important part for his motorcycle. The game's writer and director John Gavin talked about the multiple ways players can approach the scenario. Players can stealth their way in or do the run-and-gun approach.

The first gameplay footage they revealed before was more exciting than this, and to me, it looks like another mediocre zombie game. The new gameplay footage from The Last of Us Part 2 looks better than what they showed here.

Days Gone will be released exclusively for the Playstation 4 on February 22, 2019.
