Netflix To Adapt Fantasy Book Series Shadow and Bone With The Writer of Bird Box


Netflix is developing an adaptation of Shadow and Bone, based on Leigh Bardugo's bestselling novels Shadow and Bone and Six of Crows, two overlapping series that is set in the Grishaverse universe. As Deadline reports, the adaptation will be an eight-episode series from Eric Heisserer, writer of Netflix's popular film Bird Box, and Shawn Levy, executive producer of Stranger Things. Bardugo also serves as executive producer.

Pouya Shahbazian (the Divergent series) will also executive produce the series alongside Bardugo, Shawn Levy, Dan Levine, Dan Cohen and Josh Barry for 21 Laps, and the show will be produced by Netflix. A new book set in the Grishaverse universe, titled King of Scars, will be released later this month.

Synopsis:
