Netflix Finally Releases The First Trailer For Duncan Jones' Mute

Netflix is finally bringing Duncan Jones' sci-fi passion project, Mute, this February. He's been teasing it for years, and now Netflix has released the first trailer for it, and it looks dark and cool. It reminds me of the Korean classic film Old Boy but with a cyberpunk style.

The film stars Alexander Skarsgård, Paul Rudd, and Justin Theroux. It looks like there's some kind of crazy twist involved in Mute's story. The film is said to be the sequel to Duncan Jones' Moon and a homage to Ridley Scott's Blade Runner.

Watch the trailer below:

Synopsis:

Set in the near-future, Leo (Alexander Skarsgård) is a bartender living in the pulsing city of Berlin. Because of a childhood accident, Leo lost the ability to speak and the only good thing in his life is his beautiful girlfriend Naadirah (Seyneb Saleh). When she vanishes without a trace, Leo's search for her takes him deep into the city's seedy underbelly. A pair of wise-cracking American surgeons (Paul Rudd and Justin Theroux) are the only recurring clue and Leo is forced to take on this teeming underworld in order to find his love.on Netflix.

Mute is set to premiere on February 23.
