My Hero Academia Just Released Its Teaser For Its Upcoming Arc

The My Hero Academia anime series is getting close to the manga's on-going arc but it looks like big changes are coming.

Shueisha's new issue of Weekly Shonen Jump includes a teaser for chapter 217 and it looks like the manga is entering a villain-centric arc.

"Defend civilians against the villains! As Deku gets closer to his quirk, with even more power now, where will this take him next," reads the description in the Weekly Shonen Jump.

Izuku Midoriya learned that he can access all of the individual quirks from the previous users of One For All, which means that he can use more than five quirks now. However, he still needs to master One For All. This teaser suggests that Izuku might be able to unlock his hidden powers.

Created by Kohei Horikoshi, My Hero Academia has been running in Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump since July 2014. The series follows Izuku Midoriya, who lives in a world where most people have superpowers known as "quirks", even though he was born without one. Determined to become a superhero, his heroic idol All Might grants him power and he enrolls in a school for professional heroes. The series has been licensed by Viz Media for an English language release since 2015.
