Magic: The Gathering Throne of Eldraine Previews Reveal The Charming Prince & More

Wizards of the Coast has revealed more fairy tale-themed Magic: The Gathering cards from the upcoming set Throne of Eldraine.

In addition to the unique Throne of Eldraine creature cards and the special preview from Game of Thrones star, Magic pro Reid Duke has revealed a new white creature Human Noble card called "Charming Prince" and for a two-mana-cost 2/2 creature, it does a lot of things: It can Scry 2, gain 3 life, or exile a target creature you own and return that creature at the beginning of the next end step. Check it out:

You can bring back stolen creatures with this card, and according to Scryfall, this is the only fourth white card that can Scry. Rosewater previously said that white in Throne of Eldraine will do something different in an effort to help white in Commander, so it's likely that exiling creatures you own is the change he's talking about.

"It's doing something in Throne of Eldraine it's never done before in our ongoing quest to help white in Commander," Rosewater wrote on his Blogatog.

White has done Scry before, so I think the change could be "Charming Prince's" third ability.

This looks like a solid sideboard card against aggressive strategies or strategies that steal your creatures.
