Magic: The Gathering Standard Format is Getting an Update Next Week

Wizards of the Coast just released the new Magic: The Gathering set Zendikar Rising, and the new Standard format rotation just removed several sets from this Constructed format including Core Set 2020, Ravnica Allegiance, Guilds of Ravnica, and War of the Spark, but due to the recent meta's lack of diversity thanks to the new powerful cards like Omnath, Locus of Creation and Lotus Cobra, we might see some cards get banned or restricted next week.

Today, Wizards of the Coast has announced that they are planning to provide an update on MTG's Standard format early next week.

The announcement just comes only a few days after Zendikar Rising was released digitally on MTG Arena and Magic Online. Will they ban Uro, Titan of Nature's Wrath in Standard? Or will they ban one of the new cards: Omnath, Locus of Creation and Lotus Cobra? These two cards are two of the most popular cards from the new set, according to a recent report.

What do you think will get banned next week? Let us know in the comments section below.

Zendikar Rising is now available in stores worldwide, and digitally on Magic: The Gathering Arena and Magic Online.
