Magic: The Gathering San Diego Comic-Con 2019 Activities & Events Revealed

San Diego Comic-Con 2019 is going to be a huge event for Magic: The Gathering fans and today, Wizards of the Coast has revealed the details of the upcoming MTG activities and events happening at the convention later this month (July 18-21). Hasbro, the company that owns Wizards of the Coast, will have its own booth (#3213) at the convention so be sure to check them out if you're attending this year's SDCC.

The biggest announcement fans can't wait to hear is the one for the upcoming fall MTG set code-named "Archery". It will be announced at Mark Rosewater's panel on Saturday, July 20. Earlier this week, Rosewater teased that they will reveal more than just the name of the upcoming MTG set, so it's going to be an exciting panel that won't disappoint fans.

Here's a schedule of things happening at Hasbro's Main Stage:

Thursday, July 18, 11:00 a.m.–12:00 p.m.: Mark Rosewater Signing – Mark Rosewater, lead designer for Magic and man of several million words, will be hanging out and signing autographs. Bring your copies of Maro and Doubling Season, and plan accordingly.
Friday, July 19, 4:00–5:00 PM: The Making of Chandra – Nic Kelman, head of story and entertainment, will be discussing how a Planeswalker is created while Aleksi Briclot, artist of the original "Lorwyn Five," does a live painting of Chandra. There will be limited time for autograph signings, so bring your favorite Aleksi cards! Aleksi will also be at Cascade Games's Magic play area (more on that below).
Saturday, July 20, 12:00–12:30 p.m.: Cosplay Showcase – Bring your Magic: The Gathering cosplay to the Hasbro Main Stage for a photo shoot! We want to see any and all kinds of cosplay—and especially your Chandra designs. And for those not in costume, we have a photo op at the booth as well! That said, we may even have some goodies for those who show up dressed as the Awakened Inferno herself . . .

In addition to the SDCC events, fans will also have the chance to play Magic at the Hilton outside of the convention center in the Grand Ballroom of the Marriott Marquis San Diego, and it will be organized by Cascade Games.

Fans can also buy the SDCC 2019 Magic: The Gathering exclusive promo set Dragon's Endgame will be available at the convention. You can check out the details here.
