Today, Tempo Storm has announced that Brazilian Magic: The Gathering professional player Paulo Vitor Damo da Rosa (PVDDR) has joined their esports roster. The American esports team made their announcement on its website.
"We are excited to announce that Paulo Vitor Damo da Rosa, best known as PVDDR, will be joining Tempo's Magic: The Gathering roster!," Tempo Storm wrote.
The news comes just about two weeks after PVDDR announced on Twitter that he was looking for a team or company to represent at this weekend's Mythic Championship VII and throughout next year.
Here's what PVDDR said in the official announcment:
"2019 was the year MTG made its introduction to the world of esports, and joining a huge esports team like Tempo Storm is the culmination of that for me. I'm very excited to be part of a team that clearly knows and values the Magic professional scene, and I hope I can do my part to help Tempo solidify itself as the leading team for every single digital card game."
Tempo Storm Senior Partnerships Manager Ryan Turner added:
"Paulo's career is nothing short of legendary, to say the least. He has become a figurehead in this community, not only by displaying incredibly consistent skill at the highest levels of play, but also by giving back his wealth of knowledge iwth some of the most insightful competitive content available. We at Tempo are extremely proud to support Paulo and have him represent us in competitive Magic for a long time to come."
With thirteen Pro Tour Top 8s in his name and two wins (Pro Tour San Juan in 2010 and Pro Tour Hour of Devastation in 2017), PVDDR is the youngest and first Latin American player to be inducted to the MTG Hall of Fame. His recent top 8 was from Mythic Championship VI this October, where he placed second.

The Mythic Championship VII will take place at Thunder Studios in Long Beach, California on December 6-8. The format of the three-day Magic Arena tournament is Traditional Best-of-Three Constructed Standard.
