The Bolas arc story structure gives us a look at how the plot is developed through Magic sets from recent years. The epic conflict against Nicol Bolas was set in various planes and the final showdown is finally happening in Ravnica in the War of the Spark story, and fans have been wondering who will prevail: The Gatewatch and their allies or Nicol Bolas and his army of Eternals and loyal planeswalkers. If you look at the end of this story structure, you'll see the answer: "True plans revealed, Bolas outwitted" So according to this story structure, Bolas loses the war but one question still remains: How did the Gatewatch and Bolas's enemies manage to outwit him?
