Magic: The Gathering Local Game Stores Will Get Secret Lair Products

The brand new Magic: The Gathering print-on-demand collectible products called the Secret Lair may not be currently available in your local game store, but expect some of the Wizards Play Network (WPN) stores to have them soon.

Wizards of the Coast recently announced on their WPN website that stores who make Premium level by April 7 will be eligible to receive one copy of select Secret Lair drops to land in WPN Premium stores.

"Each drop is available for a very limited time, so you have to act fast to make sure you get one—unless you're Premium," the WPN announcement noted. "Starting soon, WPN Premium stores who qualify by April 7 will receive one copy of select 2020 Secret Lair releases shipped right to them, no signup required."

Wizards said that they will reveal the first Secret Lair drop for the stores the closer they get to the release, but expect them to announce it by April.

Just one copy though? At least WPN Premium stores can use it as a prize for a Magic event. One of the main criticisms against the Secret Lair is how it's not supporting local game stores by selling directly online.

With a new dedicated Twitter account for Secret Lair products, I'm sure Wizards have more Secret Lairs coming this year. The Secret Lair: International Women's Day is coming next month, and another Secret Lair just got leaked recently.
