4 Magic: The Gathering Brawl Commanders For Pre-Constructed Decks Revealed But No MTG Arena Codes

Brawl has officially launched in Magic: The Gathering Arena in a pre-constructed variant, and while players canot build their own decks, four new decks are available to play on Arena right now, and the Commanders for the Throne of Eldraine pre-constructed decks have been revealed. While Throne of Eldraine won't be released on tabletop until next month, you can try out the new cards on Arena as well as the Brawl Commanders.

All of the Brawl Commanders for this set are three-colored, and they all look pretty strong in this format. If you want to know the other cards included in these Brawl decks, you can check it out in the gallery here.

The Throne of Eldraine Brawl pre-constructed decks will also be available on tabletop but the MTG Arena forums revealed that they won't include codes for Arena. Each of the decks will have seven new mechanically unique cards.

Brawl is a Commander variant that uses only Standard-legal cards. The format was introduced last year but the lack of player base and events made the format "dead" to some fans in the Magic community. Last year at Grand Prix Barcelona, a player won a scheduled multiplayer Brawl event by default for being the only participant.

Last April, Rosewater said that Wizards of the Coast is not giving up on Brawl, and when asked why it was missing in Arena, he said: "The reality is a little backwards," Rosewater said. "There's a lot Magic: The Gathering Arena could do. Popularity in tabletop would help communicate that this is something players would enjoy onMTG Arena. If you like the idea of Brawl and want to eventually see it in digital, playing it in tabletop is the best way of showing that interest."

Throne of Eldraine, the 82nd Magic expansion, is set to release on October 4. Prerelease events will take place on September 27 to 29.
