John Avon, one of the greatest Magic: The Gathering artists in the world, has a new playmat project coming soon, so if you're a fan of his amazing works, you may want to save up for his upcoming playmats for your trading card game.
Recently, on his Facebook page, Avon revealed two playmats featuring his art: one featuring his gorgeous Swamp artwork and another is his Lorwyn Island.

Avon will probably reveal three more new playmats featuring the other three basic MTG lands so expect him to post the others on his page soon. The Welsh artist hasn't revealed additional details about his playmat project yet such as release dates or prices but we'll keep you updated here on Epicstream once we find out.
Avon has illustrated over 280 unique Magic cards, mostly landscapes on Basic Land cards. He also illustrated the Water Elemental card for the World of Warcraft Trading Card Game. He has also painted book covers for best-selling authors Stephen King, Terry Pratchett, and Arthur C. Clark.
