Cryptic, the studio behind the upcoming Magic: The Gathering AARPG, has released its first Dev Diary video on YouTube to give fans a behind-the-scenes look at the team of developers and artists working on the game. The three-and-a-half-minute video focuses on showing how many members of Cryptic are deep lovers of the Magic: The Gathering franchise.

Cryptic Studios CEO Stephen D'Angelo worked on the rules base of MTG back in the day, and there are also people who are part of Wizards of the Coast's design team. Executive Producer Stephen Ricossa also talks about how the team is composed of people who were critical in the development of Magic: The Gathering Arena, the digital version of the card game, and the studio hosts regular weekly tournaments for the whole team. The video also features pre-alpha gameplay footage from Magic: Legends. Watch it here:

I wasn't a huge fan of the gameplay footages they previously revealed, but knowing how enthusiastic the whole team is in developing this game is made me more excited to see how they will bring the multiverse of Magic to life.

Magic: Legends will launch for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One in 2021.

The first beta will introduce, “the earth-shattering Geomancer and the psychic power-wielding Mind Mage" and will begin this spring, You can sign-up now at the game's official website
