Cryptic, the studio behind the upcoming Magic: The Gathering AARPG, has released its first Dev Diary video on YouTube to give fans a behind-the-scenes look at the team of developers and artists working on the game. The three-and-a-half-minute video focuses on showing how many members of Cryptic are deep lovers of the Magic: The Gathering franchise.
Cryptic Studios CEO Stephen D'Angelo worked on the rules base of MTG back in the day, and there are also people who are part of Wizards of the Coast's design team. Executive Producer Stephen Ricossa also talks about how the team is composed of people who were critical in the development of Magic: The Gathering Arena, the digital version of the card game, and the studio hosts regular weekly tournaments for the whole team.
