Magic: Legends MMORPG Announced With Cinematic Trailer


Magic: The Gathering is getting an MMORPG, and the first cinematic trailer has been revealed.

Announced at the 2019 The Game Awards, Wizards of the Coast, Cryptic Studios, and Perfect World are teaming up for Magic: Legends, an MMO action RPG "set across the iconic planes of Magic: The Gathering."

"As huge fans ourselves, we are excited to once again collaborate with Wizards of the Coast. With its rich, immersive worlds and satisfying spellcasting system, Magic creates the perfect setting for an MMO action RPG spun into an epic fantasy adventure that players will want to continue exploring for years to come."

"We've assembled a team of talented developers who are incredibly passionate about Magic: The Gathering and share a collective deep knowledge of the franchise. Beta testing for Magic: Legends begins sometime in 2020, but you can sign up now with your Arc Games account, and look forward to our video that will be uploaded on our MTG YouTube channel once the beta is up. Gameplay details for Magic: Legends will be revealed in January 2020.

The Magic: Legends trailer isn't the only new Magic: The Gathering trailer that premired at The Game Awards. The trailer for the upcomingTheros Beyond Death set also premiered.

It looks like 2020 is going to be another epic year for MTG.
