Earlier today, iO9 revealed the San Diego Comic-Con 2019 Magic: The Gathering exclusive cards today, and the special edition set is called Dragon's Endgame featuring new artwork of the four Amonkhet gods and "Nicol Bolas, Dragon-God". While some fans think that the art by Adam Paquette and the shadowed frames make the cards look weird, there's another unique thing about these exclusive cards.

Unlike the previous SDCC promos, this year's special edition cards are non-foil, according to Senior Magic Designer Gavin Verhey. Over on Twitter, Verhey showed off an SDCC exclusive "Nicol Bolas, The Dragon God" card and revealed that the new SDCC cards are not foil but they have an amazing finish.

See for yourself:

That looks wickedly cool and I'm glad they're doing something different with the SDCC promos this year.

Dragon's Endgame is set to debut exclusively at San Diego Comic-Con next month, and it will cost you $99 for each pack.

The San Diego Comic-Con will take place on July 18-21, 2019.
