Kickstarter For Game Described as "Hentai Mass Effect" Has Raised Over $1 Million

Studio FOW

Studio FOW, the company who sparked controversy for producing CG porn starring videogame characters, have started a Kickstarter campaign to fund their own game called Subverse, a game described as a "a tactical RPG/SHMUP hybrid" where you're the captain of a spaceship called Mary Celeste and you have to assemble a crew of sexy ailen waifus. Just in case you don't know what a "waifu" is, it's a term used for a fictional character, usually in anime or games, that someone has romantic affection for. The game is basically like Mass Effect 2 but with more explicit sex.

At the time of this writing, the game has already raised over $1,274,000 in US dollars and there are still 9 days left before the campaign ends. Subverse is at least a 20-hour game with two different combat systems, one grid-based tactical system for squad vs. squad fights and the other is an arcade-style for ship combat. The game will have "nine waifus" for you to romance, and if you watch the trailer above, it looks like the waifus can give extra favors.

According to the Kickstarter page, each waifu will have unlockable, fully-animated explicit scenes players can view.
