Ikoria: Lair of Behemoths Will Have "One of The Craziest" Magic: The Gathering Mechanics Ever

While Magic: The Gathering fans are hyped for the next expansion, Throne of Eldraine, the four next MTG sets coming in 2020 are also raising the excitement. Yesterday, Wizards of the Coast revealed during the livestream on Twitch.tv/magic the four Magic sets that will be released next year, and they include:

1) Theros: Beyond Death
2) Ikoria: Lair of Behemoths
3) Core Set 2021
4) Zendikar Rising

Out of all these sets, only one features a brand new world we've never seen before: Ikoria, and according to head designer Mark Rosewater, Ikoria is a monster world. "You get to play with monsters, and you get to make monsters," Rosewater said during the live stream that you can watch below. "It's one of the craziest mechanics we've made in quite a while."

Create-a-monster mechanic sounds exciting, and I wonder if it's going to be similar to the Host/Augment mecahnic first introduced in the Unstable set or maybe it's similar to how "Brisela, Voice of Nightmares" is formed: with the backs of two different cards.
