Netflix's The Haunting of House Hill will be available on Blu-ray soon, and it'll be the only way you can get an extended, director's cut of the horror series.
Amblin's Twitter account recently announced that the Haunting of Hill House is now available to pre-order online and that the home release will have an extended cut of the series. Series creator Mike Flanagan confirmed the reports of a director's cut on his Twitter account. "Well this news got out there a little earlier than we wanted… but yes, it's true!" Flanagan said. "More details to come, but it was a blast restoring several episodes to their original form."
Flanagan hasn't shared any details about the director's cut yet but it will probably feature some terrifying never-before-seen scenes that will make the home release worth getting.
The Haunting of Hill House was released in 2018 on Netflix, and it's a loose adaptation of Shirley Jackson's 1959 novel of the same title.
The Haunting of Bly Manor will be based on the novel The Turn of the Screw by Henry James, and according to Flanagan, it will be much scarier than House Hill.
