Blizzard Entertainment recently banned Hong Kong-based Hearthstone player Ng Wai "blitzchung" Chung from Hearthstone esports for 12 months and took out his prize winnings for violating the 2019 Grandmasters offiical competition rules when he expressed his support for the Hong Kong protesters during an official interview online. During the stream, he wore a mask on camera and talked about the country's political lockdown. During the interview Blitzchung shouted, "Liberate Hong Kong, revolution of our age!" and the stream was quickly cut to a commercial break, and footage of the Grandmasters were removed online.

Now, Immutable (formerly Fuel Games), the developer of the new Gods Unchained blockchain game, has reached out to Blitzchung, offering to give him his lost earnings from Grand Masters. The developer also pledged to offer him a spot at their tournament with a prize pool of $5 million.

For those who don't know, Gods Unchained is a trading card game based on the ethereum blockchain. Two players build a deck of 30 cards and compete against each other in a duel that lasts until the 'health' of one of the players goes down to zero.  The blockchain lets players find out the exact odds of getting a particular card with each opened pack, which makes it different from other online TCGs like Magic: The Gathering Arena and Hearthstone. Back in August, former MTG Arena director Chris Clay joined the Gods Unchained development team

Immutable's offers to Blitzchung are commendable, giving what the banned Hearthstone player what he deserves while promoting Gods Unchained in a positive way.
