Game of Thrones Season 8: Bran Stark's Secret Revealed?

Game of Thrones fans will still have to wait for a year before the final season of the HBO hit comes out, and it seems that they're looking at the past to find clues about what could happen in the future.

Bran Stark (Isaac Hempstead Wright) has been an important part of the series since he fell from a turret in Winterfell in the first episode of the first season.

Since then, he has taken the path of discovery, where he learned that he has a gift of foresight.

However, one Redditor believes that Bran has been using his gift to manipulate the events of the entire series.

According to the theory, Bran actually convinced Ned Stark (Sean Bean) to adopt Jon when his mother and father passed away. Jon's true parents are Rhaegar Targaryen (Wilf Scolding) and Lyanna Stark (Aisling Franciosi) who were believed to have had an illegitimate affair but it was real love and the couple actually married in secret.

Ned knew the secret and took on Jon in a scene caught by Bran.

When Bran went to that moment in the past, he yelled "father" at Ned, and that's the part that captured fans' imaginations.

Jiasidaowwmonk posted: "What if Bran shouting ‘Father' during the Tower of Joy event unconsciously influenced him to be a father to Jon Snow?

"That would explain why Bloodraven brought Bran at this specific time and let him shout it and THEN brought him back to the present.

"Even though he could've easily prevented it."

The Redditor continued:

"You are rushing to see your sister and you hear ‘father', but you see no one and there is nobody in miles.

"You don't understand but you move on, and then, you discover your dying sister with a child and you realise that this message (maybe coming from the gods you might wonder) was meant for him to be a father to him."

This is an interesting theory that adds weight to Bran being a central character in Game of Thrones. When he meets Jon Snow, I'm sure that he will support his claim to the Iron Throne.
