As the hype for the upcoming Dragon Ball Super: Broly film continues to build up, rumors of Gogeta going up against Broly has gotten fans more excited for the film's release.

A group of fans recently did a data mine on Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2, finding details about a new DLC pack centered around Dragon Ball Super: Broly. According to the mined details, Gogeta will show up in two variant forms, and one of them is his Super Saiyan Blue form that the forthcoming Dragon Ball: Super film will reveal. If this rumor ends up being true, this would be the first time the fusion will be introduced in canon.

Check out the breakdown of the Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 data mine below:

Synopsis:

"This is the story of a new Saiyan. Earth is peaceful following the Tournament of Power. Realizing that the universes still hold many more strong people yet to see, Goku spends all his days training to reach even greater heights. Then one day, Goku and Vegeta are faced by a Saiyan called 'Broly' who they've never seen before. The Saiyans were supposed to have been almost completely wiped out in the destruction of Planet Vegeta, so what's this one doing on Earth? This encounter between the three Saiyans who have followed completely different destinies turns into a stupendous battle, with even Freeza (back from Hell) getting caught up in the mix."

Dragon Ball Super is available for streaming on Crunchyroll Saturdays at 7:15 p.m. CST. Toonami still airs the English dub of Dragon Ball Super on Adult Swim Saturdays at 9:30 p.m. It's also available to stream on FunimationNOW and Amazon. The upcoming Dragon Ball Super film will be released in Japan on December 14 and it's expected to be released in US sometime in January 2019.
