Cyberpunk 2077 Reveals New Major Feature Called Braindance

During today's Night City Wire livestream event, CD Projekt Red revealed a new Cyberpunk 2077 trailer and announced an official Cyberpunk 2077 anime series called Cyberpunk 2077: Edgerunner, which is being developed by Trigger and Netflix, and it's set to release sometime in 2022. The Polish developer also revealed a new gameplay video that shows a new feature called "Braindance."

You can watch the gameplay demo below:

CD Projekt Red reveals that the Braindance is a technology that allows you to access a person's memories, and lets you experience their sounds, sights, smells, feelings, everything. Its analysis mode lets you you rewind, explore details, and view the memory as an observer by moving the camera around. According to the Polish developer, Braindance will be an important storytelling device to explore the world's different factions, history, and philosophy. This confirms the game's detective-style gameplay as it gives players a way to investigate details from the past.

"Cyberpunk 2077 is an open-world, action-adventure story set in Night City, a megalopolis obsessed with power, glamour and body modification," reads the official synopsis of the game. "You play as V, a mercenary outlaw going after a one-of-a-kind implant that is the key to immortality. You can customize your character's cyberware, skillset, and playstyle, and explore a vast city where the choices you make shape the story and the world around you."

Cyberpunk 2077 is set to release worldwide for PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Google Stadia on November 19. The enhanced version of the game is also in development for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X.
