Wizards of the Coast will soon reveal the new Magic: The Gathering cards from Commander Legends, the first-ever Commander set designed to be drafted, and today, Senior MTG Designer Gavin Verhey has shared six hints about the upcoming product.
In today's episode of Good Morning Magic, Verhey talked about the six hints about Commander Legends, giving fans an idea on what some of the cards from the new set will do.
Here are Verhey's first six Commander Legends hints:
1. There is a legendary creature that is simply named "ghost of previous (legendary creature)".
2. There is a card with art that has only appeared in Magic: Online.
3. There is a permanent with an ability that says,"You control your opponents while..."
4. There are four non-evergreen mechanics in this set: one of them is new, and three of them are returning. One of those mechanics has only been featured in one plane
5. There's a cycle of five legendary creature swith Partner that are all animal familiars.
6. There is a creature that has a type that Wizards of the Coast designers haven't made a new one of in over 20 years.
Verhey went on to say that he is planning to reveal something exciting from Commander Legends on Monday, and that he will reveal six more hints next Friday.
Now that we have these six hints, let the guessing begin!
Commander Legends product and events will be available on Magic Online on Thursday, November 19, 2020.
