J.K. Rowling and Jim Lee Team Up for DC Comics 'Love is Love' Anthology

Artist and DC Comics co-publisher Jim Lee revealed via Instagram that he did a Harry Potter illustration for the DC Comics 'Love is Love' anthology with the blessing of Harry Potter author J.K. Rowling herself. The anthology will benefit victims of the shooting at The Pulse gay nighclub in Orlando. You can see Lee's Instagram post below:

The illustration shows Harry, Ron, Hermione and Dumbledore conjuring a rainbow flag, which a universal symbol of LGBT solidarity. Dumbledore's presence is especially significant because J.K. Rowling famously revealed the character was gay in a 2007 interview.

The anthology will be released on December 22 by DC Comics and IDW publishing. Proceeds from sale of the comic will go to Equality Florida, a fund set up to benefit those who were wounded or killed in the Pulse incident, which was the deadliest mass shooting perpetuated by a single culprit in United States history.

Several other artists and writers have contributed to the anthology. They include Jason Aaron, Rafael Albuquerque, Kieron Dwyer, Phil Jimenez, Damon Lindelof, Steve Orlando, Brian Michael Bendis, Marguerite Bennett, Matt Bomer, Mike Carey, Olivier Coipel, Ming Doyle, Patton Oswalt, Brandon Peterson, Taki Soma, Morgan Spurlock, James Tynion IV and Matt Wagner.

I'm glad to see J.K. Rowling contributiing to this cause and I hope this comic does well and earns a lot of money for charity. Will you be getting it?
