J.K. Rowling and Eddie Redmayne Will Be at the Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them Charity Screening


There is going to be a special charity screening of Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them at New York's Carnegie Hall with J.K. Rowling and Eddie Redmayne as guests of honor. The screening will take place at 6 pm on November 12, 2016. Carnegie Hall's website reveals that the audience will get to have a conversation with J.K. Rowling and Eddie Redmayne as part of the event. J.K. Rowling is the famous author of the Harry Potter series and the screenwriter for Fantasic Beasts and Where to Find Them, while Eddie Redmayne plays the movie's lead, Newt Scamander.

The event's proceeds will go to the USA Branch of the Lumos Foundation. The Lumos Foundation is a charity founded by J.K. Rowling that aims to help orphaned children find homes with loving families. This charity event is designed to be a family affair and children who are 10 or older are allowed to attend.

Tickets for this event went on sale today at 11 a.m. Eastern Time. The price ranges fron $25 to $500.
