J.K. Rowling Apologizes For Killing This Harry Potter Character

When it came to killing major characters in the Harry Potter series, J.K. Rowling didn't hold back, but now she's feeling some remorse for one of them. On Twitter, the famous author apologized to fans for killing Professor Severus Snape.

Rowling expected a backlash from fans for killing him off, and in the tweet, she apologized for it as she talks about running for cover.

Although Snape was deemed to be a villain in the series, the final installment revealed that he was working as a double-agent trying to protect Harry Potter because he's in love with his mother, Lily. At the end, his sacrifice for Harry cost him his life, and fans considered it to be one of the most devastating death scenes in the series.

Rowling previously apologized for killing Lupin and Fred. They may be fan favorites but what's the fun if the only ones who die in the series are the villains?
