J.J. Abrams on Star Wars: The Force Awakens Spoilers

Star Wars: The Force Awakens director J.J. Abrams is hoping that the spoilers will not ruin the fans' experience of the film. Just nine more months before the film's release, and it already has a lot of speculations leaked. Now the film is in post-production. In an interview with News.com.au, Abrams said that "we're still cutting it, but I could not be more excited."

Abrams did the interview to promote Infinitely Polar Bear, which stars Zoe Saldana and Mark Ruffalo. Ruffalo plays a bi-polar father in the movie, which is written and directed by Maya Forbes.

"The level of scrutiny is pretty much unprecedented for me," said Abrams. "My dream is that, despite so many rumors - many of which are true, many of which are untrue - when people see the movie, they see something that hasn't been completely ruined for them by having read spoilers they might not have wanted to read."

Star Wars: The Force Awakens hits theaters December 18, 2015.
