J.J. Abrams Says It's 'No Accident' That Luke Skywalker is Missing in Star Wars: The Force Awakens Trailer


Ever since the final Star Wars: The Force Awakens trailer was released last week, fans have been wondering why Luke Skywalker was missing in the trailer (save for what is assumed to be Luke in the footage of a hooded figure reaching out to R2-D2). Some fans even came up with a strange theory claiming that Kylo Ren is actually Luke Skywalker in disguise.

In a red carpet chat with Associated Press, The Force Awakens director J.J. Abrams said that Luke's absense from the trailers is "no accident.". Abrams also said will be completed before the visual effects are finished in the next few weeks, and added that there's still one more scoring session left to do with composer John Williams.
