JJ Abrams' Overlord Gets First Bloody Poster

He might be busy with Star Wars: Episode IX but it seems like JJ Abrams still has a soft spot for horror in his heart. Abrams was heavily involved with Cloverfield and was the producer for its two sequels but it looks like he's trying to do something new with Overlord.

Whatever the case, Paramount Pictures has decided to unveil the first poster of the movie. The poster looks very similar to one of Bethesda's Wolfenstein games, which makes some sense since the movie is also set in World War II and has experiments from Nazis. The poster seems to show a person slowly turning to a zombie, which should be interesting to see on the big screen.

Many thought this was going to be a Cloverfield installment but that theory was denied. Then again, Abrams could be lying and they could reveal that Overlord does take place in the Cloverfield universe in the end. Only time will tell if this ends up happening but it would be fun to see this happen. It does make this cinematic universe somewhat more interesting than the currently existing ones.

Overlord stars Jovan Adepo, John Magno, Wyatt Russell, Bokeem Woodbine, Pilou Asbaek, Jacob Anderson and Iain De Caestecker. It comes out on November 9.
