Is Jason Mamoa Returning To Game Of Thrones?

Despite only appearing in one season, Jason Mamoa's Khal Drago is one of the most missed characters in Game of Thrones. Fans loved the character's relationship with Daenerys, despite starting out rape-y, and his death was one many a viewer wept over. While there aren't any concrete plans to bring him back, Mamoa's recent Instagram photos have suggested that he could be returning to the show's final season.

On Instagram, Mamoa shared several photos of himself with various stars from the show in Belfast Ireland. The Justice League actor is claiming that he was in the area for 24 hours, but he could be trying to cover up for a potential return. We won't know until the show's final season starts showing on HBO, but with Jon Snow's resurrection, pretty much anything can happen.

If Drago does return, one has to wonder how it will be done. Though most fans would love to see him reunite with his beloved Daenerys, he could always be brought back as a white walker. He could also be used in a quick flashback to give his 24-hour story some semblance of credibility. With so many magical elements in the show, the possibilities are endless.

The final Game of Thrones season is scheduled for a late 2018/early 2019 release. Fans will be able to see Mamoa as Aquaman in next week's Justice League.
