International Blade Runner 2049 Trailer Offers New Footage And A Closer Look At Jared Leto’s Villain

Blade Runner 2049 is fast approaching its release date, and Sony is making sure that fans remember that the sequel to Ridley Scott's neo-noir science fiction cult classic is on the way. Sony Pictures UK has just released a brand-new international trailer for the Blade Runner sequel online, adding to the excitement of the highly anticipated science-fiction movie.

Running close to two minutes, the extended international trailer gives fans a few clips of never-before seen footage of Blade Runner 2049. While previously released previews for the film showed off the Blade Runner sequel's visuals and what it added to the world of the original 1982 science fiction cult classic, this new trailer focuses on the film's action set pieces with the enigmatic villain Niander Wallace (Jared Leto) getting more screen time in the video.

It's an exciting trailer that promises an action-filled visual treat for Blade Runner fans, and in it we get to learn more about Wallace's plans to manufacture replicants to take over the world. Deckard (Han Solo) might be unwilling to cooperate at first, but it seems like Officer K (Ryan Gosling) manages to get through him.

Blade Runner 2049 director Denis Villeneuve certainly understands the essentials of the Blade Runner universe and we're all excited to see Deckard return to the big screen.
