Injustice 2 Will Have Multiverse Mode

NetherRealm Studios, the developer responsible for the upcoming Injustice 2 title, has been trickling information about the game, including info sheets as well as new trailers about characters who will be joining the roster of fighters.

Interestingly, these aren't the only things that have been teased for the game so far. Attendees of the Insomnia Gaming Festival held in Birmingham, England. YouTuber Super has a video that features the supposed build that was showcased at the venue. Some players were even given the chance to take the build for a spin.

Part of the showcase was a teaser of another mode. There are no specific details about the mode or whether they are playable at the event, however, it's interesting to note that NetherRealm Studios seems to have gone all-out with the mode.

The screenshot, seen at the 0:53 mark of the video, shows six worlds, namely The Rage, Blown Away, Fifth Dimension, Bad Odds, Overthrown, and The Grave. These worlds are actually single-player modes, that have not yet been announced officially by the developer.

What players can do for each world is to complete certain objectives, which have to be completed at a certain amount of time. I'm actually surprised that this is a single-player mode, because it reminded me of the multiplayer challenges that the studio's other games have.

We're expecting more teasers and announcements as the release date nears. Injustice 2 will be out on the PS4 and Xbox One on May 6. There's also a tie-in mobile game expected, as well as a comic series similar to the original game's franchise.
