Inhumans Banner Gives Us First Look At Attilan, Home Of The Inhumans

Though initially announced as a movie by Marvel Studios, Inhumans is now being developed as a TV series, but it will still open with a 2-hour movie in IMAX. A new banner has been released for the show, and it features the Royal Family's ancestral home of Attilan.

Check it out:

The series is expected to debut on IMAX on Sept. 1 before moving on to ABC on Sept. 22. It's odd that we haven't even gotten a trailer for the series, counting that the release date is pretty close. I guess we'll just have to wait and see what Marvel has up its sleeve.

Here's the official synopsis:

After the Royal Family of Inhumans is splintered by a military coup, they barely escape to Hawaii where their surprising interactions with the lush world and humanity around them may prove to not only save them, but Earth itself.

I'm kind of disappointed that Inhumans got bumped down to a television series, since there is a clear divide of quality when it comes to MCU movies and television shows. Sure Daredevil and Jessica Jones have been great, but the ABC lineup of Agents of SHIELD and Agent Carter has paled in comparison—the latter even got cancelled.

Not to mention the movies outright ignore whatever happens in the television series. How hard is it to give us a Daredevil namedrop in Civil War, Marvel??

Let's hope this IMAX release is good enough to keep everyone interested in Inhumans for the small screen debut. I don't like to judge movies before they come out, so let's just be optimistic for now.

Inhumans debuts on IMAX Sept. 1.
