Incredibles 2 Rotten Tomatoes Score is Up and Critics Are Loving It!

Pixar's Incredibles 2 will hit theaters this week, and critics are loving it!

The Rotten Tomatoes score for the highly-anticipated sequel to Brad Bird's animated superhero film is up. With 40 counted reviews, the film currently has a 95% score on its Tomatometer. That's only 2% lower than the 2004 Incredibles film.

The site's critical consensus praises the film and compares it to the original: "Incredibles 2 reunites Pixar's family crimefighting team for a long-awaited follow-up that may not quite live up to the original, but comes close enough to earn its name."

This isn't surprising since the early reactions for Incredibles 2 have been positive. It looks like the fans are hyped up as well as the advanced ticket sales for it are already out-pacingFinding Dory.

Michael O' Sullivan of The Washington Post describes Incredibles 2 as "both pop-culture eye candy and a sly critique of it — albeit one delivered in the form of the bad guy, who rails against the mediation of screens as a poor substitute for unfiltered life experience."

Kenneth Turan of The Lost Angeles Times wrote: "Though it would be unrealistic to expect Incredibles 2 to have quite the genre-busting surprise of the original, it is as good as it can be without that shock of the new — delivering comedy, adventure and all too human moments with a generous hand."

Many are calling it Pixar's best sequel yet, and it looks like they're right. I'll definitely see it this weekend.

Synopsis:

In 'Incredibles 2,' Helen (voice of Holly Hunter) is called on to lead a campaign to bring Supers back, while Bob (voice of Craig T. Nelson) navigates the day-to-day heroics of "normal" life at home with Violet (voice of Sarah Vowell), Dash (voice of Huck Milner) and baby Jack-Jack — whose superpowers are about to be discovered.
Their mission is derailed, however, when a new villain emerges with a brilliant and dangerous plot that threatens everything. But the Parrs don't shy away from a challenge, especially with Frozone (voice of Samuel L. Jackson) by their side. That's what makes this family so Incredible.

Incredibles 2 is set to release in theaters this Friday.
