It turns out fans won't have to wait too long for a critic's review, as the embargo will be lifted on December 12.

According to The Film Stage, the embargo lifts on December 12 at 12 pm EST. Interestingly enough, there is no social media embargo, so fans will be able to find out how critics feel about the film right away. It's an interesting move on the part of Disney and Lucasfilm, which shows that the people involved are somewhat confident about the film's quality.

When an embargo for a film or video game isn't lifted until a day after release, fans begin to wonder if the film will be bad. This isn't always the case, of course, look at some of the better horror films that came out this year, but it doesn't inspire confidence.

Will Star Wars: The Last Jedi suck? Fans can find out on December 12, while the film hits theaters on December 15. Admittedly, even if it isn't good, the movie will probably make a ton of money.
