Here’s The Star Wars Theme Song Sung By The Porgs

The Star Wars fanbase might have been a bit wary about the porgs after they were introduced during the release of the Star Wars: The Last Jedi's behind-the-scenes trailer, but it seems like some have been warming up to the furry sea puffins.

Though some still see the porgs as nothing but an inane merchandising tool for Disney, others have started to welcome The Last Jedi's overwhelmingly cute overlords.

Celebrating the porg's upcoming debut in The Force Awakens sequel, Star Was fans at Volpe Music have decided to recreate the Star Wars theme song using various sound bites of the Porg's sounds taken from various merchandise items.

Check it out down here:

While the whole affair reminds us of how the Despicable Me series recreated songs using the Minions voices, the Porg Star Wars theme song oddly sounds like an electronic mash-up of the original theme song.

It would have a whole lot cuter if Volpe Music had an entire animation accompanying the music, but that would have been a whole other project, probably.

Though it seems like it's going to take more than a few videos for others to warm up to the porgs, Rian Johnson just recently told fans that the sea puffins aren't just meant for fan service – the porgs actually play a small role in The Last Jedi.

We're excited to see what the role is when The Last Jedi hits cinemas on December 15, 2017.
