Here's The Real Reason Why Olaf's Frozen Adventure Was Removed From Coco Screenings

When it was announced that Olaf's Frozen Adventure was being pulled from future Coco screenings, many fans assumed it was due to the negative reception it got from fans. It looks like that might not be the case, as representatives from Disney have told Entertainment Weekly that the Frozen short was only going to be around for a limited time. Some might argue that this is damage control from the company but it looks like the House of Mouse isn't lying.

Though many feel that the short film is awful, a quick look at some of the earlier posters reveals that Olaf's Frozen Adventure would be around "for a limited time." Admittedly, the posters did not state when the short would be pulled, so it's possible that the negative backlash played a factor. Still, it looks like the representatives at Disney have their bases covered for now and the short will likely get a straight-to-home release in the future.

Olaf's Frozen Adventure might have ticked off a lot of viewers, but that didn't stop audiences and critics from loving Coco itself. Many view it as one of Disney's best films in years, thanks to some gorgeous animation and a tearjerker of a narrative. It's clear that the Frozen short was made to sell toys and hype up the eventual sequel but at least the main feature delivered.

Coco is showing in theaters now.
