Here’s Our First Look At The Fourth Powerpuff Girl

Word came out earlier this week that Cartoon Network was planning to add some more spice to The PowerpuffGirls by turning the trio of cutesy superheroines into a quartet.

Though the new addition to the Powerpuff Girls was supposedly to be introduced in a five-part movie event titled The Powerpuff Girls: Power of Four next Sunday, it seems like Cartoon Network Russia's 2017 sizzle reel has just given fans their first look at the fourth Powerpuff Girl. Though she appears in the video for just a short while at 1:41, the clip lasts long enough for viewers to get a good look at the newbie.

Like the teaser image provided by Entertainment Weekly, the new addition to the Powerpuff Girls seems a bit taller than the original trio, with large and unruly bright blue hair. That's not all. The new Powerpuff girl also has a darker skin tone and wears a purple costume like the one Bunny wore in that episode in the original series where the Powerpuff Girls tried to create a new sister but ended up with a mutated and gentler version of themselves.

There's no telling whether this new Powerpuff Girl shares the same origin as Bunny, or what her personality and powers are like, but fans will get to see soon enough.

Powerpuff Girls: Power of Four airs September 17 at 5:30 pm ET on Cartoon Network.
