Here's How Much Tessa Thompson's Wig in Thor: Ragnarok Cost

While it was disappointing that they didn't bring up her bisexuality, fans were still pleased with Tessa Thompson's portrayal of Valkyrie in Thor: Ragnarok. She was pretty likable and kicked plenty of butt so it was easy to see why so many fans gravitated towards her, though Korg is still everyone's favorite. Interestingly enough, Thompson actually had to wear a wig during the film's reshoots, which wasn't noticeable at all.

According to a story in The Huffington Post, it was revealed that Thompson had dyed her hair neon orange for indie film Sorry to Bother You. Obviously, she couldn't have that hair color to keep up with the film's inner continuity so Marvel actually coughed up a wig that cost $10,000.

Boots Riley, the director of Sorry to Bother You, felt bad about this and called Ragnarok director Taika Waititi to apologize. Waititi wasn't fazed by this, pointing out that it wasn't his money being used anyway. It's a fun little story and shows just how hectic an actor's schedule in Hollywood is. At least they didn't have to censor a mustache.

It's not yet known what scenes were part of the reshoots but it hardly matters since the film was a fairly enjoyable romp. Thor: Ragnarok is easily the best of the Thor trilogy and it would be fun seeing Waititi helm another Marvel movie.

Avengers 4 comes out on May 3, 2019, and could feature the return of Thompson's Valkyrie and Korg.
