Henry Cavill Proves Superman Doesn’t Need Glasses To Hide His Identity

Just about every superhero in the comic book universe has hidden his/her identity by using a mask, but not Superman. The Kryptonian is the master of disguises. The Kryptonian only needs glasses in order for people to see him as Clark Kent when he's out in bustling Metropolis.

While this trick has worked each time for him, many fans and critics have continued to doubt, and even laugh, at thought in real life.

Well, Henry Cavill has decided to challenge the public's opinion by going out into New York City himself, hanging out beside massive billboards of Bamtan v Superman: Dawn of Justice wearing a shirt with his people's insignia, and without Clark Kent's famous eyewear!

It looks like Clark Kent's disguise really does work.

Take a look:

Apparently, the 32-year-old actor's claim that "the glasses are good enough" is indeed, true.

It's a mystery how the people of New York failed to recognize Cavill. It's not as if he's a newcomer in the industry. Aside from Man of Steel and the upcoming Batman v Superman, he's appeared on the series, The Tudors, and films like Immortals and The Man From U.N.C.L.E. Still, people completely ignored the movie star. It's either his face is too common or people just don't care at all.

Let's hope it isn't the latter. The actor looks every bit the part for the superhero.

Do you think you'd recognize the actor when you see him on the streets?
